Gearbox adaptation

After repairing the gearbox, replacing the dual clutch or mechatronics, it is necessary to adapt the gearbox (basic setting) so that it functions properly and lasts longer without problems. Failure to adapt can significantly shorten the life of the dual clutch in particular (it can become excessively worn and malfunction within 2 months).

Adaptation consists of two steps:

  1. Learning the clutch system
  2. Learning the shift fork system

Diagnostics suitable for adaptation:

  • most paid diagnostics that service stations have
  • we recommend Forscan – a free program designed for Fords, you just need to buy a VGATE cable with an OBD connector (in our price of 60 euros)
